A Heartfelt Thank You from the Nepal Mental Health Research Network Webinar Series

As we mark the conclusion of the Nepal Mental Health Research Series (July 2021–March 2025), we extend our sincere gratitude to every participant, speaker, and supporter who made this journey meaningful. This webinar series was conducted by TPO Nepal in close coordination with the Center for Global Mental Health Equity, George Washington University as part of the capacity-building initiative of the RESHAPE project. The series aimed to build the capacity of early and mid-career mental and behavioral health researchers through sessions led by a diverse group of professionals working on global mental health, offering skill-building, shared experiences, and insights for future directions.

Over the course of 38 webinars, the series brought together 2,657 registered participants, with 68.5% women and 39.3% identifying as people with lived experience. 65% of our attendees had worked in the sector of mental health for less than a year, highlighting our role in nurturing early-career professionals.
A special note of gratitude to our 45 speakers, including 28 women and 30 Nepali experts, who generously shared their time, insights, and professional expertise with us. These speakers represented diverse disciplines, ranging from psychology, psychiatry, public health, anthropology, and social work, and included voices from both grassroots service delivery and global mental health leadership.
Additionally, feedback showed that 78% of participants found the information useful or very useful to their work, and 71.5% discovered new or very new content, affirming the series' value in bridging research, practice, and lived experience.
While the webinar series has officially concluded, all recordings remain accessible on the TPO Nepal YouTube channel for continued learning and reflection. We hope that you will continue to utilize the resources available, and keep the momentum going!
Thank you for being part of this collaborative learning space and for your commitment to advancing mental health in Nepal and beyond.
With gratitude, The Nepal Mental Health Research Network Team
