About
Sudhamsu Gautam is an international medical graduate from Nepal, currently pursuing the USMLE with aspirations of becoming a psychiatrist. He is actively involved with Health Foundation Nepal, the Nepal Institution of Mental Health, and Konektee, where he contributes to designing and implementing diverse community mental health programs.
His work spans perinatal mental health, geriatric mental health, disaster-related psychological care, and the mental health needs of migrant populations across clinical and research settings. These experiences have deepened his interest in medical anthropology, especially in exploring cross-cultural perspectives and the non-medical determinants that shape mental health care.
He currently leads the Collaborative Community Mental Health Program, a longitudinal implementation study carried out by leveraging public-private partnerships and local governance support. Outside of his professional work, Sudhamsu has a deep appreciation for history and enjoys learning about bygone eras through books and visiting museums.
