The National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) Global Health Research Group on Homelessness and Mental Health in Africa is a specialized initiative that seeks to address severe mental illness among people experiencing homelessness in Africa.
Its research aligns with global health priorities, such as the UN Sustainable Development Goals "Good Health and Well-being". This initiative also aims to improve the understanding of factors that influence mental health outcomes for homeless individuals in diverse African contexts, creating evidence-based strategies that can be applied across the continent to support vulnerable communities.
